“A record edition”, according to Veronafiere. Marmomacc, the benchmark international event in the natural stone sector, the 51st edition of which has just come to an end, was attended by 1,650 exhibitors, up 10% on 2015, and by 67,000 operators from the sector.

Record numbers were also recorded by Laminam, specialist in the production of ceramic slabs, with 750 qualified visits to the company’s exhibition space from all over the world.

71% of visitors were from abroad: 20% from Western Europe, 15% from Asia and Australia, 13% from the Middle East, 12% from Russia and Eastern Europe and 11% from the American continent.

These visitors were attracted principally by the numerous technical and aesthetic qualities of the product: natural materials, excellent resistance, easy to clean, lower economic and ecological impact than marble and stone materials, versatile and with finishes reproducing the very essence of nature.

The exhibition space also contributed to the success of the event, thanks to the new textures of the 1620x3240x12mm ceramic slabs and the large LED wall in the centre, projected on which was the preview of the dossier film “Punte di Diamante – Cutting Edge”.  It also received a Special Mention for the Best Communicator Award in the Design category.
