The chain of Hilton hotels needs no introduction. Simply observe the figures to understand its sheer size: 5,400 hotels in 106 different countries world-wide. Now firmly established with prestigious accommodation facilities in every continent, the Hilton architectural style aims to ensure guests feel right at home wherever they may be across the globe, recreating welcoming settings furnished with painstaking care for detail. For Hilton, the guest is a “permanent resident”.
The new Hilton hotel facility which was recently inaugurated in Belgrade - the first in this city - is an ultra-modern Four-Star Hilton hotel, situated in a prestigious position in the old district. From the shiny marble ground floor, to the large floor-to-ceiling windows, the rooftop terrace and the spa: the ambiance created is a unique experience with guaranteed breathtaking views.
The architect in charge of the design paid particular attention to the pursuit of the finest quality materials, combining architecture and design with latest-generation technologies, to accommodate the requirements of the hotel chain, which wishes to inaugurate a new era for hospitality in Serbia with this particular facility.
The lobby pools together natural materials with contrasting colours and textures, resulting in outstanding scenic impact. What the guest perceives is an harmonious setting thanks to the interweaving products and the combination of colours that come together. The designer achieved this effect thanks to the soft colours of the Laminam ceramic slabs from the Ossido series – in Nero and Bruno colours - used in the hotel Lobby and in the Conference Centre for the vertical claddings on the Reception Desk, the walls of the lifts and the parapet of the mezzanine floors.
Laminam ceramic is the perfect material for use in public settings because it is extremely resistant to impact, scratches and external stresses, while also being easy to clean. In other words, it is a durable material.
